November stretched me (pants and mind) but it was a good stretch!

Multiple wine lineups shared around tables and screens, many special people celebrated, 5,876,485 technology hurdles, copious new designs created, hundreds of wine advent bottles filled, family …oh and a new hair chop ✂️

💻 Wednesday I sat down and pulled together my annual wine gift guide. This year it has a major focus on my small business friends highlighting wine so passionately in what they do! It brought me so much joy and gratitude.

Just like wine, Tech Sheets can vary in quality!

The good ones will give you more than just tasting notes and food pairings + I use them almost always after/while tasting, to give me insights.

Here are a few key pieces and what they can tell you about the makeup of a wine!

If you want to find a bottle’s Tech Sheet, the fastest way is to look for the importer on the back of a bottle and go to their website/portfolio and search for the wine. Sometimes a good Google Search will do the trick!

October Wrap! 🍁 Happy Halloween Friends. Great excuse to pour those sweeter/fortified styles in place of candy. Hello Sherry, Muscat, and my fave: Madeira.

Every year October comes around, and then it feels like someone pushes the ‘fast forward’ button on the rest of the year!

🏃🏼‍♀️This past month for me has been all about, early AM studying, cold weather morning runs, community calls and events, and starting to plan 2025!

Last weekend I booked a hotel room and went on a bit of a clarity planning break! (It was so quiet… the absence of noise was just what I needed). I did a lot of analyzing what’s working, what’s not working, goal setting, and most importantly ...got to work on my 10 year plan - which I created a couple of years ago and update every year. It’s been a game-changer every year.

Not everything goes to plan, and there are some things I no longer want, but having a path that I can visually reference has put me so much further along than if I didn’t have any sort of road map.

Every year I tweak this just a little bit and bring it back out, to share (a little copy/paste action) so you can also course out your vision.

I’m guessing you’re here because you love wine a lot… probably even more than any other boozy beverage.
(I hope if we’re friends on here, that’s the case.)

I like to dig into wine reads every weekend and lately it’s a lot of “oh no”!
I’ve been bombarded with wine and health updates and reasons why people aren’t drinking wine any more. (It’s everywhere) 📰

However, I continue to run into people who love wine and want to know more about it …and I feel like there are more people who are curious about wine than those who immediately dismiss it.

For me wine has more power of transporting me to another place or another time. It has so much history to it and all the nuances continue to be incredibly captivating. I can’t imagine the intrigue of wine completely disappearing. It’s too fascinating.
