What is going on with wine tariffs?
And most importantly …what this means for you, the buyer! In October, the US imposed a 25% tariff on French wine up to 14% alcohol, as well as wine from Germany and Spain, and Scotch Whiskey. This does not include Italian wine, sparkling wine, and bulk wine. The tariff is part of the US Trade war but stems from something completely unrelated to wine. Who should be the target market for wine?
I found this to be a very interesting viewpoint on how marketing to Millenials is a waste of money.
“He started off by analyzing what so much of the millennial based research usually concludes. That millennials are different because they are tech savvy, family focused, achievement and team orientated, constantly job hobbing and feedback seeking. As if no-one else above the age of 35 loves buying the latest iPhone, is ambitious, moves between jobs and loves to get a pat on the back for what they have done.”

Wine makes a great gift. These are excellent ideas for styles of wine to give that are out of the norm. I agree with all of them …especially the Sherry …but minus the Cava!
